The legendary cricketer of South Africa, Albie Morkel called curtains on his cricketing career. He hung his boots from all formats of the game to end a glorious 20-year long career. The Proteas star has been one of the finest all-rounders, cricket has ever seen. A legend in the domestic circuit and in the franchise cricket across the globe.
Albie Morkel appeared for many franchises across the globe in his great career. He made a mark of his own with his incredible ability to whack the balls from his presence. Morkel has also been the exceptional fast bowler, who can swing the ball to make life hard for the batsmen in the initial overs.

Speaking of the retirement, Morkel feels that he is out of fuel to survive on the cricketing field. Morkel added that he will be ending his career with many fine achievements and memories, something which, he would love to cherish for the rest of his life.
Further, he also thanked South African cricket for their support over the years. Albie Morkel has been the stalwart figure for the Titans team as well. He has been their experienced player, where he signed for them repeatedly. Meanwhile, he wants to thank them for keeping trust in him.
“Time has run out for me on the cricket field, and I would like to announce my retirement from the game. The last 20 years of my life took me on an incredible journey, with so many awesome memories that I will cherish forever,” he quoted.
