Sporting Ties Will Be Hampered Until Pakistan Sponsored Terrorism Is Stopped - Rajeev Shukla

After the strong reactions on terrorist attack from the stalwart players of India and also from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, now, the chairman of Indian Premier League, Rajeev Shukla makes his voice on the issue. He feels that the reaction of people removing Pakistan cricketers photos from the historic venues is justified.

The other night was one of the hard days to digest for the Indian citizen. They lost the services of a few incredible persons working for the safety of the country. The suicidal bomb attack saw 40 CRPF jawans losing their lives at Pulwama.

Shock, grief and outrage spread across the nation. The globe with countries from the US to Russia condemned the attack. Pakistan has been blamed for the attack by India as well as the US, where the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed is based. Meanwhile, Pakistan has denied any wrongdoing.

We will wait for Government decision on World Cup game against Pakistan – Rajeev Shukla

Speaking of the same, the chairman of IPL quoted that the actions, which are being taken by the Indian Citizen is solely because of the brutal attack on the soldiers. He feels that it is understandable and added a few lines on the sporting Ties between the two nations.

“Whatever is happening, Imran Khan’s portrait being removed or MFN status revoked is people’s outrage. The reaction is justified,” Shukla told Times Now. I’ve always said the sport is above politics. But now, it will hamper sporting ties too, not until Pakistan sponsored terrorism is stopped.”

“Cannot say now whether we will play Pakistan in the World Cup as it’s too far but our policy and position is very clear, we will wait for the government’s decision, Rajeev Shukla added in his brief interview.

All in all, it seems like the Indian Citizen are not going to leave the matter any sooner this time. With a lot of mass people calling for a war against Pakistan, things are going to get complicated in the near future.

Coming to the game of cricket, India will lock horns against Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford on June 16th.
