Sri Lanka has made two significant changes to their T20I squad in the one-off match against England. The hosts have brought in Sadeera Samarawickrema and Amila Aponso in place of Kusal Perera and Akila Dananjaya. Kusal Perera hasn’t recovered from his thumb injury which he suffered during the ODI series. Furthermore, mystery spinner Akila Dananjaya had also suffered a leg injury in the final and fifth ODI against England.

Meanwhile, Sadeera Samrawickrema had played a good knock of 54 runs off just 48 balls in the final ODI against the visitors. Thus, the right-hander will like to continue with his good form in the T20I game.

Sri Lanka will like to bounce in the one-off T20I.

The one-off T20I between the two sides will take on October 27 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The hosts had gone on to lose the five-match series 3-1, with one match ending in no result. Thus, Sri Lanka will be determined to win the one-off T20I against England juggernauts.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s all-rounder Thisara Perera will hold the captaincy reins for the hosts. In fact, the one-off T20I will be followed by three Test match series. The first Test will take place at Galle from November 6.
