It has been such a stunning season for England from last one year. They have outsmarted some quality teams in the international cricket to make themselves favourite to win the 2019 World Cup. Meanwhile, the skipper, Eoin Morgan wants to focus on the series against struggling Sri Lanka.

England is all set to lock horns against Sri Lanka in the coming few days. During the course, they want to check out the odds in the Asian conditions and wants to take the World Cup boost with the series victory against the Islanders.

England had always entered the ICC World Cup in search of their first Trophy. However, they have been on the wrong side of the things. Notably, in the last edition, it has been a disaster for the team.

Meanwhile, with the 2019 World Cup just around the corner, England will once again look to grab the golden trophy.

Speaking of the same, the England skipper, Eoin Morgan quoted there is still a lot of time left to look into the 2019 World Cup. Meanwhile, he added they are coming into the crucial stage of their plannings and want to execute it well.

”We still have a long way to go,” England’s ODI captain Eoin Morgan said, with the World Cup just eight months away.It’s taken us three and a half years to get to where we are, but I think we’re getting to the most important part of what we’ve been planning towards.”

Meanwhile, the English team is set to play Sri Lanka across the formats on their tour to Sri Lanka. Initially, they will lock horns in five ODI games followed by a lone T20I and then, three Test matches.
