South Africa spinner Imran Tahir, on Saturday (March 3), joined an elite list after becoming one of the handfuls of players to take more than one hat-trick in T20s. The leg-spinner achieved the incredible feat while playing in Pakistan Super League.

Playing for Multan Sultans, the Proteas star ran through the Quetta Gladiators lineup as they were all out for just 103. The Gladiators lost their last five wickets for only one run. Sohail Tanvir started the collapse by taking two wickets in two balls before Tahir ripped through the last three wickets

Hasan Khan was Tahir’s first victim. Hasan came down the wicket to play it over mid-wicket, but could not connect, and the ball shattered his stumps. Australia’s John Hastings fell to a googly from the leggie. Rahat Ali became Tahir’s hat-trick wicket after failing to pick up a flipper.

Only three batsmen of the Gladiators managed to score in double figures with Sarfraz being the top scorer with 30. Watson made 19 while Mahmudullah scored 15 runs.  Sohail Tanvir and Iman Tahir picked up three wickets each for the Sultans. In reply, the Sultans chased down the total inside 17 overs with nine wickets in hand.
