While the game was an all-time high in the Ashes, it also witnessed some of the epic verbal battles throughout the series. Things escalated after imaged emerged of Steve Smith making funny faces during the celebration wearing a spectacle after the Manchester victory.
Many assumed that Smith was mimicking Jack Leach who grabbed a lot of attention for wearing glasses during the five-match series. However, the former Aussie skipper squashed all the claims after the final Test.
