There is no denying the fact that Steve Smith is obsessed with batting. The Australia batting mainstay just loves batting and the cricket world knows it very well. Taking his wicket in Test cricket is arguably the toughest job in the game right now. The fact that he draws comparison with the legendary Don Bradman every now and then makes it clear how good he has been batting.

Previously, the likes of Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer had spoken about Steve Smith’s obsession with batting. Ponting had said he heard Steve Smith shadow batting from 10 rooms away down their hotel corridor while Langer had said the right-handed batsman even practices cover drives in the shower.

“I don’t know how he’s spying on me in the shower!” Smith had said at the World Cup last year. “Yeah, I’m known to play a few shots here and there.

“I always have a bat in my room and Ricky was actually rooming about ten rooms up from me the other day and said, ‘Were you batting at seven o’clock this morning?’ He could hear me tapping on the ground,” he added.

Well, Steve Smith showed his batting obsession once again on Sunday while he was interacting with his fans. Currently at home due to no cricket assignment in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Steve Smith was holding a Question-Answer session on Instagram when one of his followers asked: “Steve, are u shadow batting?”

And the reply from the Australia star was absolutely hilarious. He clicked a picture of himself with a bat in his hand and wrote: “Always” followed by a string of emojis.

Smith last played in the first ODI against New Zealand at the SCG before the series was called off. Along with the ODI series, the T20I series between Australia and New Zealand was called off too.
