Indian all format captain, Virat Kohli, received the ICC Test Championship for the second time in two years by the virtue of their rankings in Test cricket. The presentation was made after India won the T2oI series against South Africa by 2-1.

The men in blue, after being comprehensively being defeated in the Cape Town and Centurion Test matches, displayed immense character to win the final Test match of the series at Jo’Burg. India managed to salvage their pride and resurrected their campaign from an inevitable whitewash by the 2-1 scoreline.

The Virat Kohli led side holds the numero uno status in Test Cricket since for two years in a row. Kohli held the majestic mace after defeating England at home by a margin of 4-0 in 2016.

However, King Kohli still feels that the Test team is not at its 100% potential yet. The glint in his eyes suggested that Kohli is now excited about the upcoming trips to England and Australia even after a gruelling South African tour.

“Having received it twice in a row is a special feeling. The support staff have done all the hard work. We are looking forward to it (tours to England and Australia),” claimed Virat Kohli during the post match presentation.

“I’d say we are still 80% (as a Test unit). When we are able to achieve what we want to in the two tours, we’ll be more content. But our 80% is also exciting. To be a world class side, you have to be 100%” conclude VK.
