Australia’s David Warner set the Adelaide crowd on fire with his record-breaking knock of 335 runs during the second Test against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval. The southpaw’s knock propelled the home side to 589 for three before Tim Paine declared Australia’s first innings. It triggered a lot of negative response from the fans including England fast bowler Stuart Broad.
The New South Walse-born cricketer endured a poor run during the 2019 Ashes when he returned to Test cricketer after a one-year suspension. Stuart Broad made David Warner his bunny which raised questions about his place in the playing XI in the Test side. But skipper Paine and head coach Justin Langer stood like bedrock behind the dashing opener and backed him to return to form.

And Warner has now lived upto the trust scoring back to back centuries in the Test series against Pakistan. After leading Australia to 1-0 win in Brisbane, David Warner brought his first triple-century in Test cricket in Adelaide. He shared a staggering 361-run partnership with Marnus Labuschagne to lead Australia’s innings. Although Labuschange got out, but Warner continued to toil around with Pakistan bowlers to bring his triple century.
Meanwhile, Tim Paine decided to declare the innings after David Warner crossed the 334-run mark; which is Sir Don Bradman’s highest score in Test cricket. However, Twitter sensed that it was due to Paine, Warner missed the opportunity to break Brian Lara’s record of highest Test score. The Aussie skipper received a good bashing on social media including England star pacer Stuart Broad, who said that record was in danger.
