Former Indian and CSK medium-pacer, Sudeep Tyagi has heaped praise on his former IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and backed them to win this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). Sudeep Tyagi had a 5-year long run with CSK from 2008 until 2012. However, his career was marred with injuries, and he couldn’t largely deliver the goods for them.

CSK has been one of the most successful franchises of the tournament so far with 3 IPL titles to their name. They won their maiden IPL title in 2010, retained it in 2011, and then grabbed their hands on it for the third time in 2018, after coming back from a two-year ban. CSK has been the best team of the tournament so far when it comes to winning games. They have reached the playoffs in every season that they have played.

Sudeep Tyagi believes CSK will win the title this year as well and add to their rich collection of silverware that they have earned since the league’s inception.

CSK Are Like A Family, Will Win IPL 2020: Sudeep Tyagi

Speaking exclusively to CricketAddictor.com, Sudeep Tyagi said, “Basically, CSK’s team management and the sort of camaraderie that there is within the team, I don’t think it is there in any other franchise because I have played with Sunrisers Hyderabad as well. CSK has a more d=family like environment.”

“Their biggest strength is the captain himself, MS Dhoni. I think if CSK has that sort of camaraderie is because MS Dhoni ensures it, he makes everyone feel home. Whenever a young cricketer joins the squad, Dhoni motivates him a lot and he doesn’t let anyone feel that CSK is a grand franchise and he himself is a celebrated captain. This is why CSK succeed so much and they are always together on and off the field,” Sudeep Tyagi added.

When asked about who according to him will win IPL 2020, Sudeep had no hesitation in claiming that it will be the Chennai-based franchise who will get their hands on the coveted trophy.

Dark Clouds Looms Large Over IPL 2020 Future

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now looking at the October-November window for the IPL. But the move can be possible only if the ICC decides to postpone the 2020 T20 World Cup that is to be held in October, this year, according to some sources in the board.

On April 10, latest reports suggested that the BCCI is probing into the July window to conduct the IPL and it could take place behind closed doors.

However, all hopes have once again vanished as the BCCI. On Thursday suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 indefinitely in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.
