Finally, there came a date for Hardik Pandya and KL Rahui to think about there further assignments in their cricketing careers. The honourable supreme court has announced the date for the next hearing, where they might possibly put an end card for the ongoing controversy.
Recently, the Supreme Court quoted that they will hear BCCI’s plea in the third week of January and then, they will be appointing ombudsman on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for further enquiry. This takes the matter into another course, which might harm their regular style of living and also their national contract.
Now, in the latest development, the supreme court revealed that they will be hearing the case of Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on upcoming February 5th. It means that they duo absence from the game would stretch at least for a couple of weeks more.
A delay in judgement might make the cricketers miss IPL and ICC World Cup 2019:
Meanwhile, there is a chance that Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul might even miss the grand event ICC World Cup 2019 and also the lucrative domestic tournament Indian Premier League 2019 if the judgement by Supreme Court gets delayed.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Chief of Committee of Administrators (CoA), Vinod Rai, is considering the idea of appointing an ad-hoc ombudsman when the date of the hearing is confirmed. Recently, they also revealed that behavioural classes for the cricketers will also get underway.
“Whatever the views of the ad-hoc ombudsman, they can be later presented to the ombudsman appointed by SC for approval. But at least, the enquiry process can be completed. And then, the players can start thinking about their cricket again,” a close source revealed as per Deccan Chronicle.
However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for the concerned cricketers. The duo would hope for the quick judgement, which can make things smooth going further. They would be really disappointed if they miss the prestigious ICC World Cup 2019 for something, which was done off the field.
