Updated - 19 May 2019, 05:57 PM
Former India captain, MS Dhoni took the field for India for the 300th time in One Day International cricket against Australia in Kolkata on Thursday (21st September).
The wicket-keeper batsman played his 300th international against Sri Lanka but out of those 300, three matches came for Asia XI and hence he completed his triple century in Indian colours against Australia.
Apart from the Ranchi-born 36-years old Dhoni, there are five others who have represented the Indian team for more than 300 times in One-Day cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Yuvraj Singh have also represented India more than 300 times in one-dayers.
Dhoni is also just 263 runs away from becoming only the 12th international player to score 10 thousand one-day international runs.
Twitter could not stop hailing the former skipper and there were heaps of wishes coming in for MS Dhoni.
