Suryakumar Yadav received a grand welcome at his home upon his arrival from the UAE after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League 2020. The 30-year old starred with the bat, helping Mumbai Indians go all the way in the tournament and clinch a record fifth IPL title.

Suryakumar Yadav was one of the most impressive performers of IPL 2020. He performed consistently for Mumbai Indians throughout the season and finished IPL 2020 as the side’s third highest run-scorer. The right-handed batsman scored 480 runs with the help of four fifties in 16 games.

His match-winning knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore was one of the best knocks of IPL 2020. Chasing 165, Mumbai Indians were reeling at 72 for 3 before Suryakumar Yadav delivered. He remained unbeaten on 79 off 43 and powered his side to a five-wicket victory.

That knock had come just a couple of days after he had failed to find a spot in Team India’s squads for the upcoming series in Australia. But his knock was enough to prove his batting prowess as calls to include him in the Indian team increased. Fans and several former cricketers threw their support behind him after the heartbreaking snub from Team India.
