It’s raining birthdays for Team India cricketers. And, what better way to celebrate the occasion than by taking an unassailable 0-2 lead in the three-match T20I series against Australia in the latters den?

Shikhar Dhawan celebrated his birthday on December 05 while the trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravindra Jadeja share their birthdays on December 06.

And, so after beating Australia by six wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground, it was celebration time for the birthday boys.

The BCCI Twitter handle posted a video of Shikhar Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shreyas Iyer cutting the cake.

While Bumrah (rested) and Ravindra Jadeja (injured) did not feature in the T20I on their birthday, Shikhar Dhawan celebrated his birthday albeit belatedly with a crucial and eventual match-winning 52 off 36 balls.

Shreyas Iyer, on the other hand, played a handy unbeaten knock of 5-ball 12, in which he stroked a four and six off Adam Zampa in the 18th over.

It was, however, interesting to note that Ravindra Jadeja did not feature in the cake-cutting ceremony.

Jadeja, who played a match-winning knock in the first T20I, has been ruled out of the three-match rubber following a hamstring injury, he suffered while batting in the last game at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
