Former Australia’s World Cup-winning captain Michael Clarke believes the most fearless team in England and Wales will go on to win the World Cup. Clarke feels Australia haven’t played fearless cricket in the recent past. Clarke who led Australia to World Cup glory in 2015 believes the side that would be relentless in the ODI showpiece will have a good chance of lifting the coveted trophy.

Meanwhile, if we take a look at a side which has played fearless cricket in the last four years, it has to be England. Eoin Morgan has instilled a new confidence in his lads and they have delivered the goods. Clarke also added that side which will be able to chase down 350-380 consistently will be able to go all the way in the quadrennial event.

England is favourites.

In fact, England has consistently chased down big totals. Eoin Morgan also recently said that they have confidence in chasing down mammoth totals. Furthermore, the home conditions are also going to help the English side in coming out on top.

Michael Clarke said on the talk show before the first ODI between India and Australia, “The most fearless team in England will win the World Cup, the team who is capable to score around 350-380 consistently.”

Meanwhile, Australia will like to make a solid statement in the ODI series against India. They were able to clinch the T20I series by 2-0 after Glenn Maxwell played a key role.

On the other hand, India is also one of the front contenders of the World Cup. Virat Kohli-led team has ticked the right boxes in the recent past and would like to go all the way. The Men in Blue has covered most of the bases and would like to fine-tune their team in the ongoing ODI series.

Meanwhile, Aaron Finch has won the toss in the first ODI and he has decided to bat first. Finch continued his dismal form going as Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him in the second over.
