This Is How MS Dhoni Came To Know About The Birth Of His Child

While Mahendra Singh Dhoni‘s extraordinary commitment to the Indian team is well-documented in the cricketing circle, the latest revelation in a book related to Indian cricket by is bound to make the fans respect the former India skipper even more.

The 36-year old, who has led the country to two World Cups in different formats, was in Australia for the 2015 World Cup when his wife Sakshi Dhoni was about to deliver the couple’s first child. But Dhoni was so much focused on leading the country in the showpiece event that he had cut all the contacts with his family in India probably to avoid any distraction.

In fact, when he was asked back then whether he missed being in India for child birth, he had surprisingly said: “Not really.”

“I have been blessed with a baby daughter. Mum and daughter both are good,” Dhoni had told reporters before adding: “But as of now I am on national duties so I think everything else can wait. The World Cup is a very important campaign.”

Well, a newly-released book by Rajdeep Sardesai – journalist and son of former India cricketer Dilip Sardesai – has revealed that Sakshi had to contact Suresh Raina to share the news of Ziva’s birth with MS Dhoni.
