The Test series between England and India in the United Kingdom (UK) is slowly becoming a nightmare for the team management of India. After players displayed a dismal performance in the first two Tests, the battle between Anil Kumble and Ravi Shastri reignites.

All this fuss is now a battle of the decade now. On November 2, 2008, Anil Kumble announced his retirement from international cricket. He played his last match against Australia in Delhi.

Coincidentally, it was Shastri, who interviewed Kumble during the post-match presentation.

On that day, Shastri missed many points like future goals of Kumble, regarding how would later transform his experience into the next generation and many other aspects.

The things grabbed headlines when Sourav Ganguly recommended Kumble as a coach instead of Shastri who appeared to be a preferred contender.

Let us cut it short here as in view of that; we will present you three such players who played under Anil Kumble but find no place under the tenure of Ravi Shastri.

Jayant Yadav:

Yadav is an all-rounder who made an impression straight away after making his First-class debut. He played his first-class cricket for Haryana and made his debut on 2011.

He was a top wicket-taker from Haryana in 2014-15 that hints out his maturity. It was not so much sizzling for him to get an IPL contract as that was on the cards after he displayed some fantastic performances. He made his debut in the 2014 edition of Indian Premier League for Delhi Daredevils.

After one after the superb performance, Yadav berth in the squad against Zimbabwe in 2016. He played a single One-day International and four Test matches. He averages 45.6 with the bat. Besides this, he has 11 Test wickets as well. He got only one ODI match in which he scored a single unbeaten run.

Jayant played his last Test in 2017, while as he played last ODI match in 2016. He played his last game under the supervision of Kumble but faced an axe after Ravi Shastri take him over.

Kedar Jadhav:

He was a regular member of Indian cricket team who faced an axe during the tenure of Shastri. At the beginning of his career, people would call him a tailor-made batsman for the Twenty20 format.

His career resembles Bollywood films where one-half of movie mismatches with the another. He did hard yards even after topping the batting charts in his first-class cricket. He topped the chart in 2013-14.

The diminishing finishing abilities of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in 2015 onwards proved a blessing in disguise from his perspective. He accelerated his flow of runs as 2014 edition of Indian Premier League saw an attacking version of Kedar Jadhav.

At an average of 39.90, Jadhav played 40 ODIs for India that includes two tons and three half-centuries. Besides this, he played nine Test matches as well. Jadhav improved himself as an all-rounder and has 16 ODI wickets as well.

Jadhav played his last ODI on February 7, 2018, while as he featured in last T20 match on October 10, 2017.

Amit Mishra:

The treatment or luck of Amit Mishra can be understood with the fact that despite getting a debut call in 2002, he did not get fame he should have had. Even after not getting a game, things worsened for him as he got another national call in 2007.

Equipped with the herculean task of replacing Anil Kumble, Mishra made a remarkable start.

After Kumble, Mishra was the leading leg-spinner of India. He got a figure of five for 71 in Border Gavaskar Trophy after replacing injured Anil Kumble.

Mishra played his last match under the tenure of Anil Kumble; however, he could not make into Indian team after Ravi Shastri joined as a coach including other two players.
