Three Promising Players Who Should Be in India's Test Team

It is safe to say that India has the top-notch quality and promising players waiting in the wings. It is the main reason behind the recent success of the Indian team across all formats mainly the success of the Test Team under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

Due to such a huge competition, many of the talented cricketers face an axe, as there is no space for them when a prominent player returns. Many of the players though brilliant in the domestic circuit still carries a tag of uncrowned player.

Many of the domestic players recently get a nod in the Test team following their stellar performance in a domestic fold and Indian Premier League (IPL) in a nutshell.

When it comes to the stardom of the lucrative domestic Twenty20 professional league IPL, many local players get a chance to share the dressing room with foreign greats.

As a matter of pride, the IPL had unearthed many talented cricketers to date. Similarly, the domestic cricket of India acts a base upon whom the governing body of Indian cricket can rely upon.

For instance, it gave the cricketers like Hanuma Vihari and Prithvi Shaw a major surge. Both got a Test nod recently and are now part of Team India for the England Tests.

Here we will present you top three uncrowned players who should be in the Indian team for the England Tests.

3. Krunal Pandya:

Krunal Pandya is a top-class all-rounder apart from being a vital member of the Mumbai Indians (MI) side in the IPL. Krunal with his all-round performance has registered many victories for the franchise.

As Hardik Pandya has already stamped his name around the Indian cricket circle, Krunal has been knocking the door of selectors with one after another performance.

After having the nth number of good outings in the IPL, the star player got a chance to prove his mettle in T20 series against England. However, he could not get a chance to showcase his talent.

The 27-year-old all-rounder from is a lower-order batsman apart from being a quality spinner. With his hard-hitting abilities, he can fulfil the responsibilities of a finisher as well. He still plays in domestic with a tag of being an uncrowned player.

2. Shubman Gill:

Shubman Gill does the job of a nightmare for the bowlers with whom he played so far. Tagged as the future of Indian cricket, Gill is a prodigious talent. He was the member of Under-19 World Cup-winning team.

So far, he has been exceptionally well with the bat in the First-class cricket as well. He scored his maiden ton in first-class in the just the second match of his career.

Following his exceptional performance, Gill signed a contract with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL edition 2018. He continued his same outflow of runs but is still an uncrowned player.

1. Mayank Agarwal:

It was a surprise selection from the Indian selectors to ignore Mayank Agarwal against the Three Lions. Although, his other two teammates, Vihari and Shaw made it count, however, he could not do the same.

He was the top scorer of 2017/18 in Ranji Trophy season. The versatile cricketer scored a splendid triple century in the season as well.

Mayank is in the form of his life and helped his team India B to win the title of quadrangular series recently against Australia A.

The 27-year old Karnataka based batsman has an incredible batting run and is likely to get his big break in the Indian team soon while emerging as one of the promising players who is having the potential to break into the Test team of India.
