After a timely 79-run knock in the first-innings, Paine produced some excellent work behind the wicket. It was his brilliant hand-eye coordination which gave Australia the much-needed wicket of Henry Nicholls, who was looking well-set for a big knock. It was an excellent delivery from Nathan Lyon, who tossed up slower and on the off-stump which dragged Nicholls forward on the defensive push and then got the ball to rip past the outside edge.

Meanwhile, Nicholls had lunged so far ahead, that he literally dragged himself out of the crease. And Tim Paine did the rest, who showed excellent hand-eye coordination to dislodge the bells. The Aussie skipper new right from the onset that he has got his man and was seen celebrating in joy as Australia took one step closer to the victory.
