Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has no clues about Ravichandran Ashwin, as he was not part of the Tamil Nadu team who lost to Gujarat by four wickets on Thursday in their first Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 game.

However, India skipper, Virat Kohli, during the toss for the fifth Test against England at the Oval, had announced that Ashwin had got an injury while playing the fourth Test at Southampton. Moreover, Ashwin has not been in touch with his state association about his injury.

Furthermore, it was seen that Ravichandran Ashwin had not got a touch with the Tamil Nadu team’s medical staff. According to reports, Ashwin is missing the Vijay Hazare. He is recently playing County cricket for Worcestershire. However, it was already announced during the Test series.

Meanwhile, with an injury, it is not possible to play or to participate in a show.

However, an injured player firstly should inform about his problems to the National Cricket Academy for rehabilitation. Ravichandran Ashwin had not done that and is yet a pending task for him. Instead, he was seen taking part in a chat show on September 17 (Monday) in Dubai.

However, it is still a question in the minds of everyone that if he had taken permission from the BCCI to be part of such a show or not. A source in BCCI told the Mirror, they can start an inquiry against Ashwin for attending the show in Dubai.

Meanwhile, according to another TNCA official, Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t inform about his injury and rehab plans.

Furthermore, a member of the BCCI communication team, in an email, told Mirror that Ashwin is currently staying in Chennai. However, according to his mail, Ravichandran Ashwin is suffering from a minor groin muscle strain. He is currently doing his treatment in Chennai. Ashwin will soon go to NCA in a couple of days for continuation of his rehab process.
