Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody has picked the two best openers in T20 cricket in the world at the moment. Moody has named Indian opener, Rohit Sharma and Australian opener David Warner as the two best openers in T20 cricket in the current scenario.

With all the cricketers being in isolation due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, it has given them time to interact with their fans through social media. Moody also took to his Twitter account and conducted a Q&A session with his fans wherein he has made some interesting choices and revelations.

Tom Moody Picks The Best Openers In T20 Cricket

A Pakistani journalist asked Tom “Who according to you are the two best opening batsmen in the world in T20s.”

Moody named two destructive batsmen as his opening combo in the T20 cricket. Moody named Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma and Aussie opener David Warner as his favourite openers.

“Tough call, but I would be more than happy with @davidwarner31 and @ImRo45,” Moody said on Twitter.

Both Rohit And Warner Are Run Machines

Both, Rohit Sharma and David Warner are certainly one of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket at the moment. Talking about Rohit Sharma, the right-handed batsman has played more than 100 games and scored close to 3000 runs in the format.

In IPL, Rohit has scored a total of 4898 runs and has been the most successful player and captain with 5 titles as a player and 4 titles as a captain.

David Warner has been a prolific player for Australia in the T20Is. He has played close to 80 games and scored more than 2000 runs in the format. In the IPL, he is first on the list of the foreign player with the most runs with 4705 runs in 126 matches at an average of 43.17.

Warner became the first cricketer to win three Orange Caps in IPL history. In IPL 2019, Warner won his third IPL Orange Cap after scoring 692 runs in 12 innings with an average of 69.20 and strike-rate of 143.86.

His first Orange Cap was in 2015 when he scored 562 runs in 14 innings with an average of 43.23 and strike-rate of 156.54. Warner won his next Orange Cap in IPL 2017. This time the left-handed batsman scored 641 runs in 14 innings with an average of 58.27 and strike-rate of 141.81.
