His colleague Moeen Ali isn’t far behind. The all-rounder has been instrumental in England’s impressive show this year. He finds himself in this elite list courtesy a fruitful performance against Sri Lanka, where he scalped 18 wickets across three games. Australian cricket team’s player Pat Cummins ended the year with a lot of fight and grit. His career-best figures of 6/27 at home against India was picture perfect but he did an equal amount of damage on foreign soil.

From fishing his 100th wicket to get Sri Lanka on top of the game, Suranga Lakmal has done it all in the hectic year of Test cricket. His away record is impeccable this year- 24 wickets from seven Test matches. Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin too had a good record outside Asia this year. He scalped 11 wickets against England and ended the year with 24 sticks. Lankan Lahiru Kumara and Indian seamer Ishant Sharma picked 26 and 37 wickets respectively. India dominates the list as Mohammed Shami finds himself at the second spot with 45 wickets against his name. His bowling partner Jasprit Bumrah tops the chart with 48 wickets. He ended the year on a high, bagging three man of the match award against Australia at the MCG.
