Steve Waugh to Guide Australia During 2019 Ashes Campaign:

Australian Test skipper Tim Paine revealed that veteran cricketer Steve Waugh will mentor Australia during the forthcoming edition of the 2019 Ashes campaign in England.

Waugh will stay with the team for six-weeks alongside a head coach, Justin Langer.

In 2001, former Aussie captain Waugh had led his team to a title win on the English soil.

“I think to have someone like him around during a Test series is going to be great for our whole group,” Paine told cricket.com.au.

Rohit Sharma’s new opening partner KL Rahul is somewhat pleased with the way he’s going at the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019.

The top-order batsman revealed his role is to build up innings and he’s done that to some extent – to get better with each game.

To talk about his defining role, Rahul has expressed satisfaction, which is deemed as a learning curve for the 27-year-old cricketer.

Legendary Windies bowler Curtly Ambrose has blasted Caribbean opener and seasoned campaigner Chris Gayle for retirement U-turn.

Ambrose has also urged Gayle to bow out of the international cricket post Windies’ last league stage game against Afghanistan.

Besides, Ambrose has lambasted Gayle for the change of heart after latter in February announced that he would retire from the top-flight cricket after the culmination of ODI showpiece in the United Kingdom (UK).

Furthermore, Ambrose has labelled Gayle’s plans as ‘utter nonsense’ for maintained to make his appearance against India.

“Let me tell you something, one word; nonsense. He hasn’t played Test cricket for five years and he can barely make it in a One Day International, with long periods in the field. A Test match is five days, six hours every day and he hasn’t does it for five years,” Ambrose told BBC Sounds.

Following a 28-run loss against India, Shakib has expressed disappointing for failing to make it to the top four at the ICC World Cup 2019.

The star cricketer accumulated 542 runs apart from 11 scalps in seven innings. He believes the Tigers have played to the potential but should have done more to go deep into the tourney.

“I think it’s very disappointing.  Because we couldn’t fulfill our dream that we had for this mega event,” Shakib revealed in a presser.
