New Zealand pace spearhead Trent Boult bowled an absolute ripper, to get rid of Cheteshwar Pujara in India’s second innings. India are currently taking on New Zealand in the second game of the two-match Test series.

The hosts have already won the first Wellington Test convincingly by 10 wickets. Before the Test series, India and New Zealand faced each other in a five-match T20 series and a three-match ODI series.

Both the teams had contrasting fortunes as India clean swept the Kiwis in the T20Is and New Zealand clean swept the Men in Blue in the ODIs.

In this very game, India lost the toss and were invited to bat first by the hosts. Like the first game if the series, the Men in Blue showed a dismal display of batting and were bundled up for 242 runs in their first innings.

However, the Indian bowlers were right on the money when the proceedings began on Day 2 and left no room for error as the Kiwis could only manage 235 runs in their first innings.

As India came on to bat in their second innings, the Kiwi pacers were hitting the deck hard and came up with some beautiful swinging deliveries.

Boult delivered a brilliant inswinger that left Cheteshwar Pujara clueless at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval.

Here’s the video of the incident:

As seen in the video, Pujara was clueless as the ball swung in by very far away from the off stump. This led to Pujara’s dismissal on a low score that put India in all sorts of bother. Having been India’s most solid batsman in the first innings of the second Test, Pujara didn’t have a great influence in the second innings.

Team India is now in trouble in their second innings after having bowled so well as they have lost six wickets for 90 runs at stumps on Day 2 of the Test match.

Captain Kohli’s poor run of form continued as he was struck plumb in front of the wickets by Colin de Grandhomme.
