India won the toss and chose to field first in the fourth T20I of the Hero Nidahas Trophy 2018. Both the teams came into the match with two points each with one win and one loss.

The hosts got off to a flying start as they reached 25 in just the second over. India got their first break-through in the third over as Shardul Thakur removed Danushka Gunathilaka. Washington Sundar then removed the danger man Kusal Perera in the very next over.

Man in form Kusal Mendis and Upul Tharanga then combined for a 62 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. Mendis continued with his form with the bat and went onto score another T20I half-century. Sri Lanka then suffered a middle order collapse as they slumped from 96/2 to 120/6.

For India, Washington Sundar was the most economical bowler as he gave away just 22 runs in his four overs and picked up two wickets.

However, both Vijay Shankar and Yuzvendra Chahal were on the expensive as they leaked runs at over eight runs per over. Shardul Thakur picked up four wickets in his quota of four overs.

Here is how Twitter reacted at the mid-innings break.
