Twiller Hails Rishabh Pant For His Brilliant Knock
Updated - 05 Oct 2018, 11:49 PM
Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant played an exciting inning in the ongoing first Test match against the Windies at Rajkot.
However, earlier in Day 1, Indian debutant Prithvi Shaw played a brilliant knock and helped India to past 200+ runs. He made his maiden hundred in the debut match and grabbed the attention of all the fans. He smashed a 99 ball 100 and was eventually dismissed for 134, which includes as many as 19 boundaries.
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant also played some exciting cricket along with veteran Virat Kohli on day 2. He didn’t spare anyone and smashed sixes off Roston Chase, Devendra Bishoo as well as paceman Keemo Paul. Pant was breaking boundaries and showering with sixes as if he was playing a T20 match.
Moreover, Rishab Pant celebrated his birthday today on the crease but missed out the opportunity to score a second Test consecutive century. India is nevertheless in a commanding position having crossed the 600-run mark. Pant also partnered brilliantly along with skipper Kohli. The duo added 133 runs for the sixth wicket in quick times.
Rishabh Pant scored 92 runs from 84 balls smashing eight boundaries and four massive sixes. It was looking that he was in a hurry to complete his second international ton.
Meanwhile, Davendra Bishoo bowled a googly to Rishabh Pant and he, as usual, tries to heave that out of the city over cow corner, but is deceived by the away turn – gets a leading edge that loops towards backward point for an easy catch to Keemo Paul.

Feel for Rishabh Pant. Could have gotten to a well deserved century. But again, he was doing what he normally does well to score maximum runs. #INDvWI #RishabhPant

Great chance for Rishabh Pant to spend good amount of time with Kohli at crease and score big. Can cement his place in tests if he can get a big 100 here. Got the start he needed.

Rishab Pant is an excellent player with aggressive approach to the game. He plays test match like an ODI. Unfortunate thing is, he is not getting picked for ODI side. It's high time to select him in the ODI team in view of 2019 World cup. #INDvWI #RishabhPant
