Bangladesh Cricket Team stunned England by winning the 2nd T20I match and by doing that they won their maiden T20I Series against England which was the first bilateral T20I series between the two nations. This would be a tremendous achievement for the Bangladesh Tigers under the regime of Head Coach Chandika Hathurusingha. We should not forget that this was an inexperienced Bangladesh side.

England would be crestfallen as in the 2nd T20I match, they were asked to bat first & were skittled out for 117 runs where not a single batter scored 30 odd runs. Najmul Shanto played a terrific unbeaten knock of 46 runs in 47 balls where he struck 3 fours on a spicy wicket. Bangladesh chased down the target of 118 runs with 1.1 overs left and won the match by 4 wickets. Shakib’s batting position was a bit questionable as the skipper batted at No.6 but at the same time, Bangladesh made a statement that they are no longer dependent on their star player Shakib.

There were huge expectations from the T20 World Champions who had a star-studded lineup in the form of Buttler, Moeen, Malan & Co & had got a lot of match-winners present in the team. This is a wake-up call for the visitors and they would be aiming to salvage some pride in the 3rd T20I match which is scheduled on 14th March (Tuesday). Perhaps, England need to reconsider their ultra-attacking approach.
