Twitter Reacts As West Indies Scale A Mammoth Target Against Bangladesh Thanks To A Double Century From Kyle Mayers

The West Indies Cricket Team, on Sunday, scaled one of their greatest-ever chases when they chased a mammoth total of 395 runs, thanks to a double century from Kyle Mayers. Kyle Mayers scored a scintillating double hundred against Bangladesh as he led the mammoth run chase, helping the West Indians win the first Test by four wickets.

Now, the Caribbean side have gone 1-0 up in the two-match Test series. The hosts, Bangladesh had won the three-match ODI series by 3-0, clean sweeping the visitors. Kyle Mayers came up with a once-in-a-lifetime knock as he took charge of the proceedings on the final day of the first Test match.

Twitter Reacts As West Indies Crush Bangladesh In The First Test Of The Series

Twitter was absolutely delighted as the Caribbeans scaled the highest-ever fourth-innings run-chase in Asia. The West Indians were given a target of 195 runs to chase, going into the last couple of days of the Test match. Bangladesh had scored 430 runs in the first innings with the Caribbeans falling to just 259 runs in the second innings.

The Bangla Tigers declared their second innings on just 223 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, giving the Caribbeans a target of 395 runs. However, they did not expect such a fightback as the Caribbeans went on to chase the title, comfortably as Kyle Mayers scored a fantastic double hundred.
