Twitter Reacts As Faf Du Plessis Brings Temba Bavuma For Toss Only To Lose Again

South Africa have made a great start to the third and final Test of the series giving early jolts to Team India in Ranchi. Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis brought a proxy skipper in Temba Bavuma in a bid to change his luck, but nothing seems to work for the Proteas skipper right now.
Kagiso Rabada looked on fire in the morning session of day one as he hit the right areas to pose difficult questions to the Indian batsmen. Mayank Agarwal, coming back from two back to back centuries, faced real problems before edging one to the slips.
Sensing early blood, Rabada went hard at the Indian batsman while Lungi Ngidi, playing his first game of the tour build pressure from the other end. A few overs later, Kagiso Rabada sent back Cheteshwar Pujara, India’s most dependable batsman on these wickets for a duck to give South Africa an early advantage, they were desperately looking for.

Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis had indicated that he might use a proxy to change his luck during the toss. Incidentally, he had lost nine consecutive tosses in Asia before today’s game. And in the morning, he came alongside Temba Bavuma for the toss in Ranchi.
However, there was no respite for the Proteas skipper as even Bavuma couldn’t change his fortune. India won the toss and opted to bat first as they did in the last two Test. But Kagiso Rabada has given the Faf du Plessis-led side an early impetus in the final game with quick wickets.
The social media was in splits after the hilarious incident as some accuses du Plessis of trying black magic but only to lose it.
Twitter Reactions:
It tells you a thing or two that a captain feels the need to take someone over to call. But irrespective of who calls, the chance of winning it is 1 in 2!!

Bavuma came out as a proxy for the toss. No change in the fortunes though. South Africa loses the third consecutive toss in this series. Makes it 10 in a row in Asia. #indvsa

Faf du plessis using Temba Bavuma as proxy for the toss (and still losing it) reminded a lot of Indians about gully cricket and it's unique set of rules. I think Faf should ask the organisers for a game of stone paper and scissors instead of regular toss!#INDvSA @cricbuzz

bavuma and faf are both useless tossers #INDvSA

Graeme Smith's view on Temba Bavuma accompanying Faf du Plessis to make the call at the toss this morning: "I thought it was pathetic … what kind of message are you sending?" Biff doesn't hold back, and that's why he has become one of the best commentators on @SuperSportTV

Faf du Plessis may have lost the toss but he kinda wins by actually getting Temba Bavuma as proxy captain to'change' his luck? https://t.co/FaJzh8lvt9

Faf du Plessis is like Viru of Sholay who doesn't knew that the coin is identical in both the sides, and hence always lose the toss…?
Ranchi's wicket is a let down, considering the strength of this elite Indian bowling line-up.#INDvSA #INDvsSA pic.twitter.com/XC9gOV4Jhw— Roshan Agrawal (@Roshan_Sbp) October 19, 2019
