Two Team India stars Shreyas Iyer and Umesh Yadav had an eventful day for their sides on the 4th day of the 14th DY Patil T20 Cup in Nerul yesterday. They put up impressive individual performances but as far as results of the match were concerned both had mixed fortunes. Iyer who was part of the Indian squad during the ODI series against the Proteas made his presence felt yet again.

The stylish right-hander smashed his way to a 35 balls 57 which was studded with three fours and four hits over the fence. It also helped his team BPCL coast to an 84 runs victory over Mumbai Police. Earlier in the day, it was BPCL who posted 196/6 on the board at the end of their allotted 20 overs. Shivam Dubey of Mumbai bowled well and returned with figures of 3/7.

In another match, Team India speedster Umesh Yadav was at his best. He bagged three wickets for 19 runs which eventually helped RBI restrict Collage Group to 167/8. RBI eventually lost the match by eight runs. In another game in the afternoon, it was Aditya Tare who put up a strong performance. He scored 83 of 55 deliveries which included six fours and a six. Courtesy his knock, Indian Oil chased the total set by Central Railway with a ball to spare.
