Although the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) is still a month away, the battle off the field has already begun. On Friday, when India and England took on each other in the first T20I of the five-match series, there was an interesting battle off the field in the commentary box between Parthiv Patel and Sanjay Bangar.

Parthiv Patel recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and then, Mumbai Indians signed the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman as their talent scout. Sanjay Bangar, on the other hand, is the batting coach of the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

Parthiv Patel hilariously trolled Sanjay Bangar in the commentary box as he roasted both, Bangar and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in an epic manner on air. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on each other in the first game of IPL 2021 as both the teams will face off each other in Chennai.

In the commentary box, Parthiv Patel roasted Bangar. He said, “There will be no pressure of winning on RCB and Bangar.” Parthiv also stated that he has won the IPL trophy thrice as a player while playing for five different teams in the tournament. As the co-commentator, Saba Karim laughed off, Sanjay Bangar assured his fellow professionals that RCB will definitely perform better this season.

IPL 2021 is all set to take off on April 9. The tournament will be played across six different venues including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Kolkata. There will be no home and away venues during the tournament.
