India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma was caught laughing when Sri Lanka National Cricket Team middle-order batsman Charith Asalanka smashed spin-bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for back to back sixes.
Charith Asalanka came out to bat after Dhananjaya de Silva was dismissed by Jadeja in the 33rd over of Sri Lanka’s second innings. He got off the mark in the 1st ball of the 35th over by smashing Jadeja a brilliant six over the long-on. He followed it by smashing another six, this time over the bowler’s head and Indian skipper Rohit was seen laughing when the Sri Lanka batter smashed the all-rounder.

Jadeja conceded no run in the next two deliveries and he bowled the dot balls. However, Asalanka smashed Jadeja for back-to-back fours in the last two balls of the over to make it 20 off the over.

On Day 3, Sri Lanka were off to a poor start as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually got bowled out for 174, which led to India imposing a follow-on.
At the start of the day, Pathum Nissanka completed his half-century off 108 balls and Sri Lanka reached 150 runs in 56.1 overs. Nissanka added good 50 runs in 113 balls with Asalanka and at drinks, Sri Lanka were at 161/5 in 58 overs. Sri Lanka reached from 161/5 to 174/10 in no time as the lower order of Sri Lanka contributed nothing and they all got out on 0.
In the second innings of Sri Lanka, opening batsman Lahiru Thirimanne got out for a 9-ball duck in the 3rd over. Batsman Pathum Nissanka, who was the top run-getter in Sri Lanka’s first innings, was dismissed by senior off-spinner Ashwin in the 7th over and he scored only 6 runs. Sri Lanka skipper Dimuth Karunaratne walked back to the pavilion after scoring just 27 runs off 46 balls after getting dismissed by senior speedster Mohammed Shami.
At tea on Day 3, Sri Lanka were at 120/4 in 35 overs and they were trailing by 280 runs.
