Royal Challengers Bangalore’s keeper-batsman KS Bharat was in full flow with the bat on Sunday evening against Mumbai Indians in Dubai during Match 39 of IPL 2021. He scored 32 runs off 24 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Before he got out, KS Bharat smoked a brilliant six, off the bowling of Rahul Chahar, and was seen pumped up, energetic while celebrating the maximum with skipper Virat Kohli. On the fourth ball of the 9th over, KS Bharat got low on one knee and deposited the ball over deep mid-wicket for a brilliant six. The right-hander pumped his fist in the air and let out a roar in celebration.
His innings, though, came to an end on the next ball, as he holed out to Suryakumar Yadav at long-off.
Kohli-Maxwell show rocked MI bowlers
After Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first, MI had a good start to the encounter as Jasprit Bumrah nicked off Devdutt Padikkal. Virat Kohli, on the other end, however, batted in a gung-ho approach carting around the MI bowlers, and RCB ended the powerplay at 48/1.
KS Bharat too joined in the fun with two fours and two sixes of his own before getting out to Rahul Chahar in the 9th over. For the next six overs, the pair of Kohli and Glenn Maxwell rained boundaries in Dubai, with the latter unleashing his reverse sweep for two huge sixes over point.
The RCB skipper raised his fifty but had slowed down as his innings progressed and got out for 51 off 42 in the 16th over to Adam Milne. At the time of writing, RCB are 126/3 at the 16-over mark.
