IND vs SL: Watch - Bhuvneshwar Kumar Traps Pathum Nissanka Plumb For 75 In The 19th Over In 2nd T20I

The 23-year-old Sri Lanka National Cricket Team opening batsman Pathum Nissanka was dismissed by premier Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the second T20 International match of the three-match T20 International series at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala on Saturday, February 26.

The young Sri Lanka right-handed batsman Pathum Nissanka played a remarkable knock for his team in the second T20 International against India.

Opening the innings with Danushka Gunathilaka he added 67 runs and then stood strong on one end till the 19th over. Nissanka smashed brilliant 75 runs off 54 balls including 11 fours and he batted with a strike rate of 141.50.

In the last ball of the 19th over, he was declared out LBW by the on-field umpire. Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a Yorker on middle and leg and the Sri Lanka opener shuffled across to play a reverse-scoop, but he missed his shot and the ball struck on the pad in front of the middle stump.

Sri Lanka openers provided a decent start to the team in the second T20 International match against India and at the end of the powerplay, they were at 32/0.

Sri Lanka’s first wicket fell in the 9th over, when Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Danushka Gunathilaka for 38. Then Sri Lanka lost 3 quick wickets of Charith Asalanka, Kamil Mishara and Dinesh Chandimal and at the end of the 15th over they were at 103/4.

Harshal Patel bowled the 17th over and he gave away 19 runs, 18th over was bowled by premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah and he went for 14 runs and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 19th over of the match picked one wicket but gave away 16 runs.

Harshal Patel bowled a terrible last over for India as he got smashed for 2 sixes and 2 fours. Captain Dasun Shanaka’s remarkable 47 runs off 19 balls, which was filled with 2 fours and 5 sixes, helped Sri Lanka score 183 runs.
