IND vs WI: Watch – Harshal Patel Bamboozles Roston Chase With An Off-cutter In 3rd T20I

India National Cricket Team pacer Harshal Patel castled West Indies National Cricket Team spin bowling all-rounder in the third match of the three-match T20I series at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday, February 20.

Roston Chase, who has been performing brilliantly with the ball in the T20I series against India, failed to make a big contribution with the bat in the dead rubber encounter.

In the 5th ball of the 12th over of the second innings of the match, Harshal Patel castled Chase. Indian speedster delivered an off-cutter, pitching on a full length on off and Chase mistimed the shot and the ball dipped under the bat to crash into the stumps. All-rounder Roston Chase was able to contribute only 12 runs off 7 balls during the run-chase.

West Indies Openers Fail While Chasing 185-Run Target

Chasing the target West Indies openers Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope failed to score big runs in the powerplay overs. Kyle Mayers scored only six runs and Shai Hope scored 8 runs. Both the West Indies openers were dismissed by Indian pacer Deepak Chahar. However, middle-order batters Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell once again batted decently together.

Earlier, Young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan opened the innings with Ruturaj Gaikwad and captain Rohit Sharma demoted himself in the batting order. Both the openers failed to deliver a good performance for the Indian team. Ruturaj Gaikwad got out in the 3rd ball of the third over and then Shreyas Iyer and Kishan had a very good partnership.

Hayden Walsh came to bowl the 9th over of the match and he dismissed middle-order Shreyas Iyer in the third ball. In the very next over spinner, Roston Chase castled opener Ishan Kishan.

Rohit Sharma, batting at no.4, played a very poor knock of 7 runs off 15 balls and he was dismissed in the 5th ball of the 14th over by Dominic Drakes.

In the end, Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer once again performed exceptionally well for the Indian team. They added 91 runs off 37 balls and helped India post 184 runs.
