Watch: Indian Cricket Team Fan Waits For 2 Hours To Meet India Star Shreyas Iyer In Trinidad Ahead Of 1st IND vs WI ODI

An India National Cricket Team fan braved the rains and waited for two hours to meet star India middle-order batsman and the skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Shreyas Iyer, at Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday.

India National Cricket Team are currently in Trinidad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against West Indies National Cricket Team. The first match of the series will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad on Friday, July 22.

Star India players including the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami have all been rested for the forthcoming ODI series against the West Indies.

Meanwhile, the Indian ODI team will be led by veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan in the series against West Indies. Also, the Shikhar Dhawan and Co. practised indoors, ahead of the first game, in their first training session due to rain.

A big fan of the star India National Cricket Team middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, Shizara, waited for 2 hours to meet the star batter and got his autograph in a miniature bat after India’s first practice session on Wednesday.

“I would have liked Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul but I will be going to Brian Lara Stadium to get those signatures,” she said in a video posted by journalist Vimal Kumar on his YouTube channel. 

Talking about the training session, India’s stand-in skipper Shikhar Dhawan alongside Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, Arshdeep Singh, and Sanju Samson was seen sweating it out in the nets.

Shreyas Iyer, who has been struggling a lot against short balls, was seen batting for a long period of time in the nets against the short-pitched deliveries.
