England seamer Jofra Archer cranked up the pace and looked in fine rhythm during a practice session in the nets, in a video shared by Sussex County Club on its official Twitter handle.

Archer, who is currently recovering from his elbow injury, has been training at Hove as he aims to make a comeback to county cricket in Mid-May.

In the video, Archer can be seen hurrying the batsman with pace the kick off the surface that he normally generates.

Earlier this week, the Barbados-born English international was ruled out of the entire 14th season of the Indian Premier League.

“The England and Wales Cricket Board has confirmed that England and Sussex bowler Jofra Archer will not play in the 2021 Indian Premier League,” the ECB said in a media release on Friday.

“Archer returned to bowling this week with higher intensity, and the ECB and Sussex medical teams will continue to monitor his progress.” the statement added.

Archer has been out of action since the five-match T20I series in India earlier this year. The right-arm pacer recently underwent surgery to remove a glass fragment from a tendon on his right index finger after his attempt to clear the fish tank ahead of England’s winter tour of India went wrong.
