Watch: Shikhar Dhawan Plays a Flute with his Guru!

India southpaw batsman Shikhar Dhawan shared a video on his Instagram. In the video, Dhawan is seen playing his favourite instrument, Flute with his Guru, Venugopal Rao.

Interestingly, Dhawan is learning the art to play the Flute from the last three years. Dhawan revealed in his post that he always wanted to learn how to play the musical instrument. In fact, the Indian opener can play Raag with his Flute as well.

Subsequently, Dhawan also wanted to give a message to his fans that they can take their passion at any point of time in their life.

The left-hander asked his fans to find their passion and go all guns blazing to achieve it.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the recently concluded IPL. The Orange Army ended as the runners-up in the tournament.

Dhawan scored 497 runs in the 16 innings he played to take his team to the finals of the competition. The left-hander scored four half-centuries for the second best side of the tournament.

Furthermore, Dhawan would be seen in action in the upcoming one-off Test match against Afghanistan. India will square off with the Afghan team on June 14 in Bengaluru.

Thus, Dhawan will like to continue with his good form. The southpaw will like to hit the ground running with his performances in the iconic Test match.

Dhawan took to his Instagram post to share his hidden talent. Shikhar post read,

“Hi guys. Wanted to share something that is very dear to my heart and is a different side to me. For the last 3 years, I have been learning the flute which is my favourite instrument. I have had the privilege of taking lessons with my Guru Venugopal Ji. Today I look back and see my journey and my achievement, starting from a single note to now being able to play Raag. This is to demonstrate that at any age one can pursue their passion and get self-satisfaction. I encourage all young and old to find their passion and go towards it. I still have a long way to go but I’m glad I have started. #music #passion #hobby #flutelessons.”
