Virat Kohli credits success on South African tour to wife Anushka Sharma

India, after already clinching the series at Port Elizabeth, continued to display their supremacy over the South Africans at Centurion. After winning the toss, Virat Kohli intended to chase down the total set up by the South Africans. Therefore, put the host into batting first.

On Anushka Sharma

The ton machine also received the man of the match as well as the man of the series accolade for his superhuman efforts this series. While receiving the award during the post-match presentation, Kohli credited Anushka Sharma for his success on the tour.

People who contribute off the field they deserve a lot of credit as well. My wife who keeps me motivated deserves a lot of credit. You want to lead from the front with your performances. It’s a wonderful feeling. She faced a lot of criticism in the past as well,” said Virat Kohli about his better half’s contribution to his success on the South-African tour.

Much was talked about Anushka Sharma’s presence during the India-Australia semi-finals of the World Cup, With this statement, Kohli shut down all the Anushka-hater by crediting the success to his wife.
