Virat Kohli Delivers Warning To Other Teams After India Thrash South Africa

There is absolutely no stopping Virat Kohli and his men in Tests. Team India, on Tuesday, beat South Africa by an innings and 202 runs runs to win the three-match series 3-0. With the win, India registered their first-ever whitewash over South Africa in Tests. The win also helped India maintain their perfect start to the ICC Test Championship.

With 240 points, India are well above the rest in the points table after winning all of their five games so far. New Zealand and Sri Lanka with 60 points each are ranked at number 2 and 3 respectively which shows just how dominant India have been. Talking about the game, South Africa were all out for just 133 in their second innings.

The Proteas started day four on 132 for 8 and still trailed India’s first innings total by 203 runs. The hosts did not take long to wrap up the proceedings as Shahbaz Nadeem picked up two in two in just the second over of the day. Earlier in the match, India had declared their first innings after scoring 497 for 9. In reply, South Africa were all out for just 162.

Speaking at the end of the match, skipper Virat Kohli called the performance ‘amazing’. He was all praise for the mindset of his teammates. Virat Kohli also warned the other teams that India are now confident of winning Tests everywhere.

“Amazing, as you guys have spoken about everything. The way we have come off as a side. Really proud of the whole team. Even we travelled away from home, we competed in every game. It’s amazing to see the mindset of the team, it’s been a brilliant series for us. To be the best side in the world, you need to multi dimensional,” said Virat Kohli.

“Ishant was the only experienced bowler in the lot. The fielders started working hard as well. The catching has been brilliant as well. It’s great to see when you operate in such way. Even not with not much experience, we believe we can win anywhere in the world,” he added.
