Team India produced a scintillating effort with both bat and ball as they go 1-0 up in the three-match Test series against South Africa in Visakhapatnam. Skipper Virat Kohli seemed extremely happy as they rout the Proteas by 203 runs.
India looked on money on day five as Ravichandran Ashwin provided the first breakthrough to scalp his 350th Test wicket. Since then it was all Mohammed Shami, who after finishing wicketless in the first innings, ran over the South African batting on the final day.

He removed Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock before Ravindra Jadeja picked three in one over to have South Africa at 70 for eight. India wreaked havoc as the Proteas looked clueless in a wicket which was assisted uneven bounce on day five making things hard for the batters.

Since then, Dane Piedt and Senuran Muthusamy added 91 runs for the ninth to stretch the game after lunch before Mohammed Shami came back to get Piedt out after a well made 56-run knock. Shami finished off the proceedings with a five-wicket haul as got Kagiso Rabada finally to script India’s victory.
Virat Kohli, who seemed excited the hardwork of his boys hailed his sides team effort. Kohli seemed ecstatic with the win as they look forward to the next of the three-match Test series. The second Test will commence from October 10 (Thursday) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
