India skipper Virat Kohli is praying for the victims who had got injured and those who had lost their lives in the tragic train accident on Dusshera in Amritsar on October 19th.

However, it was another just another occasion of Dusshera where the people were cheering as Ravana’s effigy was set aflame. Meanwhile, 61 people got killed, and 72 were left injured on Friday evening. The train was coming from Jalandhar when the accident occurred at Joda Phatak near Amritsar. There were at least 500-600 people who were watching Ravana Dahan.

Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved Rs. 2 lakh for the family of the dead and Rs. 50,000 for the injured. Moreover, Railways has issued helpline numbers – 0183-2223171 and 0183-2564485 after the incident took place. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh announced free treatment for the wounded people and to pay five lakhs for the kin of each of the dead.

Virat Kohli and co. recently had a great Test series against Windies.

They whitewashed the visitors 2-0 in the two-match Test series. In addition to that, debutant Prithvi Shaw, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and veteran Virat Kohli were the three centurions in the first Test. Kohli completed his 24th Test century against the Windies in the first Test match.

Moreover, India won the second Test match followed by a superb win by an innings and 272 runs in the first Test. Umesh Yadav was the pick of the bowler as Virat Kohli handed the ball to him as and when required. Yadav bowled his best bowling figures in Tests as he picked up ten wickets in the match.

India will play the first ODI match against the Windies on October 21 (Sunday). Virat Kohli will lead the side and team India will be keen to win the ODI series at their home.
