Former cricket manager of the Indian cricket team, Lalchand Rajput has stated that it is only the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who can break Sachin Tendulkar’s records. Rajput also said that Kohli is the greatest batsman in modern-day cricket and no one comes close to him in international cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as the ‘God of Cricket.’ He has set almost every batting record in world cricket and smashed a whole lot of them during his stint on the 22-yard. Having scored more than 34000 international runs with a ton of international centuries, the Master Blaster of cricket set certain exemplary records during his career.

Lalchand Rajput also believes that no one in the entire cricket fraternity will be able to replace Tendulkar, but there is only one man who can break his records. It is none other than the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.

Lalchand Rajput Reckons Virat Kohli Can Break Sachin Tendulkar’s Records

Speaking exclusively to CricketAddictor.com, Rajput said, “A few years ago no one would have challenged Sachin Tendulkar but currently Virat Kohli is posing a serious challenge because he is the one person who can takeover Sachin.”

“The way in which he is batting, the rate at which he is converting is tremendous. I would say that even Sachin never had those conversion rates. Even if you look at his every alternate or third innings, he gets a hundred. He chases and gets a hundred and wins games for India. He’s so passionate about his cricket and he is super fit,” Lalchand Rajput added.

“If you look at his fitness, he is super fit. So unless something goes wrong, I hope not, I think he is the only guy who can takeover Sachin. It’s not far now and he’s coming very close,” Lalchand Rajput further said.

Virat Kohli Has Been An Epitome Of Success For Team India

Virat Kohli is arguably the best batsman in world cricket at the moment. He is racking up records for fun, and he is likely to reach the summit in this list in coming times. The flamboyant Indian skipper has already smashed 70 international centuries so far and just seems to get better with days going by.

Kohli is now eighth on the list of the most runs scored by a batsman in international cricket but has a very long career ahead and the kind of form that he has been in, it seems a considerable possibility that Kohli will lead this chart too.
