The Indian skipper Virat Kohli, opening batsman Rohit Sharma and pace troika of Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Umesh Yadav took rest after India’s first Test win. Meanwhile, the rest of the team practiced under the lights for the second Test. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had a quiet first Test match as the Indian skipper was dismissed for a duck and Rohit could only make six runs.

The team is gearing up for the historic pink-ball Test match against Bangladesh which will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata from November 22. On the other hand, the pace triplet of Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Umesh Yadav skipped practice to recharge their batteries.

The Indian team begins its preparation.

The fast bowlers were once again right on the money in the first Test at Indore. The Indian seamers scalped 14 wickets in the Test match to continue their domination going. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers as he took seven wickets in the match. Shami snared three wickets in the first dig whereas he claimed four wickets in the second essay.

The first Test match lasted only for three days as India obliterated Bangladesh by an innings and 135 runs. Hence, India will have extra time to prepare themselves for the Day-Night Test. The pink ball Test will be a different ball altogether and both India and Bangladesh will play it for the first time.

The Indian team will look to continue their domination.

India had ticked the right boxes in the first Test match and they would like to continue their domination going. On the other hand, Bangladesh will need to play out of their skin to challenge the potent Indian side.

Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal was the star of the show for the Indian team. The right-hander scored 243 runs with help of 28 fours and eight sixes. This was Mayank’s second double ton in his seventh Test match.
