Just like his teammate Yuvraj Singh, India skipper Virat Kohli also ended up getting trolled after he urged his fans to celebrate a ‘noise free Diwali’.

The ban on the sale of firecrackers in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) by the Supreme Court during the festive season of Diwali has divided the nation in two parts. While some feel that the the attempt to curb the dangerous pollution levels is mandatory many are against it. And some cricketers are definitely in the favour of decision.

Recently, Yuvraj Singh supported the ban and the latest to ask the people to celebrate a pollution free Diwali is Kohli. The batting star took to Twitter to post an animated message with the caption: “This Diwali, let’s change things up. ?? #HappyDiwali #FestivalOfLights #StayWrogn”

However, just like Yuvraj faced the flak from Twitterati, Kohli was not spared either. While some agreed with Kohli’s tweet, there were several who slammed him for the message, even calling him an hypocrite.

Meanwhile, Kohli is currently gearing up for the upcoming three-match One-Day International series against New Zealand, starting October 22. Kohli, who was handed the limited-overs captaincy earlier this year, is yet to lose an ODI series as a captain and will be keen to extend the winning run.
