Courtesy Dinesh Karthik’s six of the final ball, India won a nail-biting thriller against Bangladesh at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

India needed five runs on the final ball to win the game.

A four would have resulted in a Super Over while a six would have sailed the team to a victory.

Karthik, who faced the last ball, ensured that the match does not go to super over as he hit a six to win it for India.

Virender Sehwag, like many other cricketers, wished team India for the win but he had his own style of wishing.

Here is what he wrote –

Keeping Karthik’s show aside, it was a not a good show by the Indian team in the last 10 overs.

Just as 10 overs were bowled, team India started taking the game lightly and dot balls became the regular part of the game.

Team India lost crucial wickets in the middle but Karthik won the game on the final delivery

It saw the required run-rate going up slowly and Rohit Sharma and Manish Pandey were dismissed in the pressure to up the ante.

Had India planned the chase after 10 overs, the match would not have gone until the final delivery.

It was Karthik’s experience that came into play and he wrested the game from Bangladesh.

The newly appointed captain of Kolkata Knight Riders has surely drawn number of fans before the start of IPL with this last ball six.
