Virender Sehwag Posts Heartfelt Condolences To Sridevi's Family After Actor's Demise

The whole of India woke up on Sunday (February 25) to the unfortunate news of veteran Bollywood actor Sridevi passing away. The legendary actress,  who had an illustrious career spanning over four decades, reportedly died after a cardiac arrest in Dubai. The actor was in Dubai with her family to attend her nephew’s wedding.  She is survived by her husband, Boney Kapoor, and two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi.

“Yes it’s true. She was in Dubai while some of the other family members came back to India. We hear it’s cardiac arrest,” a family member of the actor said.

She made her debut in 1978 with “Solva Sawan” and gained immense popularity after starring in “Himmatwala” alongside Jeetendra. She was one of the most sought-after artistes in the film industry. During her illustrious career, she shared the screen with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Anil Kapoor and other big names. She is also a known face in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. In 2013, she was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour.

The whole of India is in utter shock as the fans and celebrities took to Twitter to express their shock and grief. Batting legend Virender Sehwag also joined the bandwagon as he paid his condolences to the actor’s family.
