The fourth ODI between New Zealand and England belonged to one man named, Ross Taylor.

After being 2-1 down in the five-match ODI series, the Black Caps faced a must-win situation at University Oval, Dunedin.

Kiwis were precariously placed at 2-2, losing openers Munro and Guptill, chasing a mammoth target of 336.

However, it was their stalwart Ross Taylor who stood up to the occasion for the nth time in his career, with a monumental knock of 181*.

His unbeaten knocked finished the job for his side and also kept them alive in the series. The game-changing knock brought the attention of his old Twitter friend, Virender Sehwag.

Sehwag congratulated Taylor for his innings by calling him Darji ji.

“Wah Darji ji, that was special. Brilliant innings, Masterji @RossLTaylor,” tweeted Virender Sehwag after witnessing his knock.

Much like during their Indian tour last year, it was the usual suspects for New Zealand in the middle, Tom Latham and Ross Taylor who was responsible for the run chase.

Earlier, Viru congratulated Taylor for his match-winning knock at Mumbai in the 2nd ODI against India by saying,

“Well played @RossLTaylor Darji ji. Great effort after handling the pressure of Diwali orders .#indvsnz.”

To which Taylor replied by saying,

“Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ….happy Diwali,” leaving one and all in splits.

The Nawab of Najafgarh was quick to reply.

“Hahaha Masterji , is saal waali patloon hi ek bilaang choti karke dena next diwali pe. Ross the Boss, most sporting :),” retweeted Sehwag.

“Has your Darji not done a good job this Diwali ??,” carried on Taylor with the conversation.
