Lo and behold, Twitter has finally witnessed something which everyone had believed would never happen. Virender Sehwag, the King of Twitter,  was shut down by a cop when the former was in Kanpur for the third One-Day International between India and New Zealand last month.

The Nawab of Najafgarh has carved his own niche on Twitter with his hilarious as well as unique tweets and has a huge fan following on the social media. Just like his playing days when he used to take the bowlers to the cleaners right from the word go without any hesitation, the swashbuckling opener never shies away from speaking his heart out on Twitter. From trolling others to slamming anyone for any wrongdoing, the legendary batsman is one of the most popular characters on Twitter.

However, his supremacy on the social media took a big blow when a Uttar Pradesh cop gave him a witty reply.

It all began when Sehwag took to Twitter to write: “Reached Kanpur , can’t get enough of Bakaiti that Kanpur offers. Share your best Kanpuriya #Bakaiti , Kanpuriya Style.”

And while Sehwag would have definitely hoped that his tweet would leave everyone in split, a senior police official, Rahul Srivastav was not very impressed.

“Please dial @up100 or tweet at @Uppolice in case of any bakaiti,” the cop replied.

And instead of Sehwag’s tweet as everyone was initially hoping, it was the cop’s reply which left others in splits:
