SA vs IND, 2018: Virender Sehwag predicts Virat Kohli's tally of ODI tons

India completed a historic 5-1 victory against the hosts South Africa in the One-day International series after they won the sixth fixture by eight wickets in Centurion on Friday (February 16). India was guided by another Virat Kohli century, who scored unbeaten 129 of the 206 runs Indian team scored.
The Indian skipper completed his 35th ODI century in the sixth ODI which was also his third centuries in the six-match ODI series in the Rainbow Nation. Kohli also smashed the previous record of the highest scorer in a 5, 6 or a 7 match bilateral series.
The right-handed batsman amassed 558 runs in the six matches which was 235 runs. It is more than the second-placed batter in the form of Shikhar Dhawan. Kohli’s last five innings in the series were comprised 112, 46*, 160*, 75, 36.
The cricketing fraternity has gone gaga over the Indian captain’s surreal achievement. Many of the former players have hailed the Indian batsman as the ‘greatest ever ODI batsman’.
Virat Kohli has now scored 35 ODI centuries just 14 behind the record held by the master-blaster, Sachin Tendulkar.
Kohli has played just 208 ODI’s in comparison to Sachin Tendulkar who played 463 ODI’s for his 49 centuries.
Former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag has predicted that the current Indian captain will end up 62 ODI centuries.
